2016 Minister of Health Volunteer Awards

Congratulations to the Sing Your Lungs Out choir volunteers, winners of the Health Volunteer of the Year 2016 award, and to the other recipients of this year's awards.

Acknowledgment and thanks also goes to the nominated health volunteers. Our health services in New Zealand are all the better for your hard work and dedication.

These awards are important because they recognise the great work that goes on every day by health volunteers across a number of services, including hospices, hospitals and NGOs. Volunteering benefits everyone who uses health services and supports New Zealand’s health system.

The 2016 Minister of Health Volunteer Awards were presented on 13 June 2016, with regional presentations during National Volunteer Week from 19–25 June 2016, New Zealand’s largest celebration of volunteering.
